Tennis New Zealand is taking expressions of interest for passionate, dedicated and appropriately qualified coaches for their 2024 courses.
TNZ is working on expanding Club Professional qualified female coaches with a Wahine only course in 2024. This course is perfect for Coaches who have held a Junior Development qualification for at least 2 years that are aiming to expand coaching business and become a Head coach at a club/centre and for those who are coaching talented club player or wanting to work with performance level players.
This course prepares coaches to become head coaching professionals at tennis clubs and centers, focusing on coaching tennis to development players and growing a small business. Participants will further develop their ability to plan and deliver coaching sessions with an increased emphasis on developing tactical skills and analysing and correcting technical skills of development players. Applying sport sciences, such as sport psychology, nutrition, strength and conditioning, using technology to analyse performance and planning programs for players of all ages are also covered. The course will provide coaches with the skills to grow a small business, such as small business planning and finances, managing risk, providing customer service and customizing programs for customers.
Course dates are:
Block 1: Wednesday 13th to Saturday 16th, March
Block 2: Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18th, May
Block 3: Wednesday 12th to Saturday 15th, June
Block 4: Wednesday 25th to Saturday 27th, July
Additional webinars and compulsory extension modules will be additional to the above dates.
